(Pedantry alert) the ground effect is actually about the wing's lift being increased due to the 'cushioning' effect of the ground (or in this case sea). The difference between low pressure (above wing) and high pressure (below wing) is increased when flying close to the ground.
I bet all those electric motors create a nasty EMF environment for the crew and passengers. Electric cars are also toxic for this reason. It's one more reason why electric vehicles are not the future (unless you want to give everyone cancer).
