Sadly what happened was that the corporations moved in and corporate type CEO’s pay became ungodly and there were never ending cuts in the quality and prices climbed and climbed!
So .. the corporate subjugation of assets is what occurs and the control of the workplace becomes absolute..
Trouble is everything will be private soon. Then the media will tell you we have the best Social Security system and the best Post Office in the world. And if you don't like it you can stand on the corner with a sign "Health Care for All" as the government gives the private hospital $110,000 to put patients on ventilators and remdesivir.
