Vitamin K2, found exclusively in animal fats and fermented foods, is essential for metabolic health, serving as an emergency electron carrier during cellular reductive stress
As a veggie myself, it is important to know that K1 can be converted to K2, MK4 in the cells.. Dr Mercola must have missed that. I also take a supplement... but I consume lots of aged cheeses and milk, so it was nice to know that i'm getting a wide variety of K2 in my diet.
Fermented foods
1. Kefir
2. Kimchi
3. Kombucha
4. Sauerkraut
5. Yogurt
6. Miso
7. Cheese
8. Sourdough
9. Vinegar
For vegetarians like myself, these foods contain K-2 vitamins. Some of these I make myself!
I am a vegetarian too!
