"Prior to 2020, it was common knowledge that people lost their taste of smell due to the common cold, (which is not caused by a “virus”, by the way)."
Au contraire. Any class in virology taught that "the common cold" was "most commonly" caused by one of 113 strains of Rhinovirus when I took the class, now the count is 165.
As RNA viruses, they infect the patient through the nasal mucosa, the same way as the Sars 2 RNA is purported to do so.
Any infectious bug like COVID, or toxin, like the formaldehyde we all breathed for hours on end in anatomy and laboratory dissection lab, is capable of damaging the delicate olfactory receptors at the top of the nose that carry the sense of smell to the cerebrum. Luckily, they usually repair and we go on, our sense of smell regained.
Thanks for bringing this up. When people tell me "I had covid recently", I ask them how do they know? Did you get tested? They usually respond, "No, but I know that I had it because I lost my sense of taste/smell".
I always tell people that I'll never really know, nor care, if I've had covid because it doesn't really matter. There is no reliable test, and as you've said, there probably isn't even a novel virus to look for.
Amen! Me, too! I realized this early on as I was skeptical of the PCR push, case counts, school closures, and non-symptomaticatic spread !!! The absurdity of it all.
A co-worker once told me (early 2020) that if I had symptoms, I should get tested. I asked him if a positive test result would allow Drs. to provide some specific treatment that could cure me of whatever I tested positive for. He said that it wouldn't, but at least I would know.
I said "no, it would only allow them to make me a contributor to their statistical propaganda. I have no interest in that."
And they would have swabbed your blood-brain barrier via nasal canal with God knows what... If the organized crime "government" wants you to do anything... say NO!
Longtime 20 yrs? loss of smell and taste sufferer. I've checked my mineral intake and it seems ok. Bizarre phantom smells can exist for weeks. I have assumed it's in the sky bandits' poison and EMF.
Though no fault of their own can only speak of any life experience as they’ve lived it.
This includes illness such as flu,
Colds and associated illness.
A human has an immune system by natural selection it’s part of our design by the creators will.
Any symptom we experience and it’s important to know this is a reaction and signal that our immune response is to something that’s triggered this response inside us from our immune system.
It’s letting us know something is not right and the feelings and symptoms are what we are feeling.
I’m 61 I first experienced a flu fairly heavy at 9 years old.
They would have been in 1972.
Long before the scientific field hijacked peoples minds with their lies and misinformation on symptoms of illness.
One of my symptoms was loss of normal taste and smell,
It’s a memory I have clearly and have never forgotten this feeling and experience.
If one knows who’s lived long enough.
There are different levels of flu from serious to mild with many different feelings and symptoms.
As with colds as we’re led to believe is their name from,
Head,
Chest,
Upper and lower respiratory illness attaching to the illness as a symptom
People are effected in all different ways depending,
Their immune strength !
And response !
The scary thing is the evil people that orchestrated the pandemic by design new this
We cannot sadly trust wholeheartedly what’s written as science because it’s very one sided in their favour to make people believe what they say but is it true ?
That’s the questionable part for all to research themselves
If one can bullet proof their immune system they have a stronger chance of better fighting any and all symptoms of any illness.
Belief is a strong emotion !
More need to go down the route of frequency ,
We are all brings they resonate to a frequency.
When we become unwell our body is out of its healthy frequency range
Many thanks, I’ve wondered why so few people have explored this when it was so widely signalled as a sign of dratted covid. I’m one of these people with virtually no sense of smell or taste which was happening long before covid but the attention drawn to the subject prompted me to acknowledge I hadn’t been smelling properly for years. Incidentally my mum had no sense of smell but was convinced it didn’t affect her taste which I would say is impossible. Strangely I’m least likely to smell horrible things like poos and sweat and most likely to smell perfume and tobacco. I can still taste sweet, salty, bitter and spicy because that’s from taste buds. My theory is that loss of smell is actually very common but surprisingly easy to dismiss because so much smelling and tasting is done through memory. Covid possibly caused many people to realise they weren’t smelling properly and so attributed it to ‘covid’. Loss of any sense is horrible and I’d give anything to get it back. Smell training hasn’t worked and I’m now taking zinc and magnesium. I’d love to understand why it went and more importantly how to get it back.
Hi, this is a very interesting. I don’t want to read all this because I think you’re full of baloney. I’ve been on this earth for a long long time and you guys are just bringing this up now interesting huh?

Whatever...
I hear it all the time myself... I just bought my college age son the books: Contagion and Virus Mania for his birthday

You obviously have a completely new virus that requires shutting down the economy and handing out trillions in "bailouts" and "stimulus"!
One has to realise with todays generations.
