There is a lot of advertising bullshit going on as well. Many ghost calls are from auto-dialers that are calling you but for whatever the reason the agent isn't available so you get dead air
I have recently read that phone numbers can be spoofed as well. In an effort to completely do away with my tracking device, I will only turn it on to use, then it’s off again with Bluetooth and wifi disabled before powering off. Not sure that makes a difference, but these are my efforts in the meantime. The ultimate plan is to be completely cellular phone free!!
Maybe "ghost call" are related to this? they are recording you from hello till you hang up? 🤔
