Meta Ray-Bans: A privacy risk?
Meta is refusing to confirm whether the images captured by its AI Ray-Ban smart glasses are used to train its AI models.
When asked whether it uses the images captured by its AI Ray-Ban smart glasses to train its AI models, Meta said “We’re not saying either way,” claiming it “wasn’t publicly discussing it” as it wasn’t something it typically shared externally.
The smart glasses have a discreet camera on the front of the glasses which takes photos of the environment the user is in, either when asked to do so, or automatically when it hears certain trigger words like “look.” Its newest AI video feature takes a series of photos of its surroundings (sometimes without the user knowing) so it can offer nuanced, natural-sounding answers to questions. For example, if a user asks it to pick an outfit from a closet, it will take a multitude of photos of the user's personal space to respond, and then store these images in an AI model in the cloud.
This is what people are questioning: How many images are being taken? What are they being used for? And what happens to those personal images, once they’re in the cloud?
And Meta is refusing to answer these questions.
This comes as Meta recently admitted to having used US Facebook and Instagram public posts to train its AI models since 2007, claiming it was “publically available information.”
The lack of transparency over this privacy issue is a surprising approach from Meta, as Google’s smart glasses—Google Glass—which have since been discontinued, provoked a strong backlash when they were launched, as people were uncomfortable with being recorded without their consent. So you’d expect Meta to issue strong messaging, reassuring users that all images taken with the smart glasses will be kept private and secure, and remain siloed to the face camera.
In the Art of Liberty Foundation’s book: “Government” – The Biggest Scam in History… Exposed! We break down how “Government” is best thought of as a technique for robbing and controlling populations. The book also exposes how an inter-generational organized crime system has been controlling the information the population receives about the legitimacy, necessity and desirability about “government” using mandatory “government” schools, scouting, Explorers, JROTC, ROTC, police and military training, monopoly media, propaganda woven into Hollywood films and television shows, and the algorithmic censorship of the internet.
The indoctrination and propaganda have been so successful that many people have never been exposed to the alternative to top-down “government” control.
They falsely believe that voting in rigged elections for the lesser evil is their only choice.
On November 1st-3rd, The Art of Liberty Foundation will be hosting Liberty on the Rocks – Sedona – The Voluntaryism Conference.
Discover the option that is NEVER offered or discussed by the MainStreamMedia or the MainStream Alternative Media: REAL FREEDOM!
We don’t really need “Government!”
All the legitimate services provided by monopoly “government” would be better provided by the free market, mutual aid societies, armed protective service companies, arbitration providers, insurance companies, and genuine charities.
Without the government’s mandatory inflationary money and confiscatory taxation, the economy would prosper and the population would be much wealthier and better able to help the poor, needy and disadvantaged.
Come join some of the country’s leading economists, legal experts and political philosophers discuss how the world could have more harmony and prosperity without “government”

"Privacy? What's that? I have nothing to hide".....this is what I am hearing from so many people, mostly the younger generation who have grown up with FB/Insta/Tiktok .... I am sickened by this. We are living in very dystopian times. I read so much that I don't have a lot of time to comment, but appreciate all your work. Thanks for all that you do to report the truth.
The lack of transparency is not surprising at all when you consider the fact that we're talking about Meta.
