Laundry Detergents were compared for their ability to remove egg, coffee, ketchup & mustard, dark berry, egg, motor oil, mud, and gear oil stains. Brands Tested: Tide Ultra, Persil, Tide Pods, Gain, OxiClean Booster, Purex, Amazon Basics, All, Seventh Generation, Arm & Hammer Detergent, Arm & Hammer Sheets, Earth Breeze Sheets, and Molly's Suds. I purchased all the Laundry Detergents to ensure an unbiased review.
Against coffee stains, Tide Ultra took first place with a score of 79.66, closely followed by Persil and Seventh Generation.
OxiClean Booster dominated the dark berry stain test with a clear lead over the rest of the field, scoring 81.75.
Egg stains proved easy for nearly every detergent tested — Purex narrowly took the top spot in a tightly packed field.
Motor oil was the toughest stain of the bunch — Tide Ultra led again, but no product broke a score of 62
On whitening a mud-stained shirt, OxiClean Booster, Tide Ultra and Persil finished in a virtual three-way tie for first.
Gear oil was dominated by Tide PODS, while Molly's Suds once again scored below plain water.

Appreciate your work, but it’s surprising you have left out the most important element— the toxicity level of almost every brand here. It’d be great if you tested brands like Branch Basics, Attitude, etc. Huge swathes of the public are finally aware of the toxins/chemicals/metals in most of our products and foods that are marketed to us —- and dangerous.
